Mental health is a conversation that is ever growing in the snowboard world. Mike Wolfhert was kind enough to share his recent experience, where he suddenly found himself battling his mental health. During that time he still managed to film a small passion project while navigating this struggle. Mike has also drafted and essay that describes his experience, the trials and hurdles he had to overcome and what his journey has looked like during his road back to “normality”. Last season in review from community at Loon Mountain. Tyler Franger whipped up this edit after his first year working in the parks. Tyler had this to say. about the edit, “Fly With The Flock is a film showcasing my favorite clips filmed this past season. It embodies the culture of the resort and community associated with it. I was blessed to have the opportunity to share my work and contribute to that culture. Looking forward to doing that again this season.”

Casualties: We Are All Just A Number
Casualties come back with the grunge, filth and a skatey aesthetic we love. Very inner city smoking a cigarette on the street corner while you watch a mugging and a relationship fall apart on the other side of the cross walk. What I’m saying is, we always love what this crew has got going on, so give it a watch!
6 Ridiculous Snowboard Inventions that never made it…
With progress there must be failure. Here are 6 ridiculous snowboard inventions that we lost along the way. Maybe it’s better that way…
Terrarium Does AKAMP
We didn’t quite know what to expect going to visit this canadian summer spectacle, but it delivered in ways we never thought possible. Snowboarding from 10 am- 9pm at night? Mt. Hood can’t do that. Even some of snowboardings biggest names like Seb Toots, Mike Rav and Naima Antolin showed up for the party. New set ups and grooming every day kept everyone smiling and impressed with how much time and effort was put into making AKAMP so dope every day. See the recap and show up next year.
Shoutout Dave Brown for holding it down
Wildlife
Reis the Beast gives us a look through his wildlife camera. Nature provides and we get to see what has been rattling around inside the secluded canvas Brandon calls his backyard.
Casualties
Some of Mountain Creeks finest give us an end of season check in, in “Casualties”. No lack of steeze and skill from the Jersey homies. Bottom line is, we want more.
Last Call
It’s the 21st Last Call, it’s nuts, so go watch it. The season’s most anticipated sacrificial event of the year, landed on as good of a day as any. Blue bird+ slushy= punch it.

Bored…
Folk would have you believe that snowboarding in Pennsylvania is boring, but we believe it’s quite the opposite. Watch Henry Batley and the rest of the crew try and keep themselves entertained at their little slice of heaven.
Chair 46 Rail Jam
McIntyre’s last jam of the 2023 season was the perfect cap to this little hill’s year of park renaissance. More rails jams than anyone else, new rails and a big initiative towards park has our hearts set ablaze with all that will come from the hotspot over the next few years.

Splinters Community Session 2023
Splinters Community Session went down last week, giving the VT community a chance to convene and shred together. Mini jibs, big tricks and a little cash flow kept the blood pumpin and the smiles wide while everyone got their fix for the day. There’s something to be said for the scene this shop and mountain has created. The source is pure and so are the intentions, so remember to pop in and see what it’s about next time you head to Bush.

SIDEHIT SEANCE
THE SPIRITS WERE WITH US THIS YEAR FOR SIDEHIT SEANCE. BLUE SKIES AND PLENTY OF STOKE RESULTED IN PLENTY OF HAMMERS, CREATIVE JIBS AND BIG AIRS TO COME OUT. Mike Rav heeds the beckoning call of the road leading him back home. Taking time to revisit where it all began, Mike and Skylar Brent unleash their imaginations alongside Seb Picard, and Naima Antolin in their most recent project for Volcom. This piece shows the kind of creativity, utilization of storytelling and integration of new visual formats that we think are pushing what a snowboard video can be.
OJO Fest
Canada became the epicenter of snowboarding for one day, where the community got together to celebrate the life and passion for snowboarding that Dillon Ojo shared in life. Dillon’s memorial park at the olympic stadium in Montreal became the stage for hefty jibs, jumps, love and everyone embracing the friends around them. This photo recap was graciously submitted by Connor Howell consisting of photos of Taylor Davies, Jake Kuzyk, Jed Anderson, Finn Westbury, Jed Anderson and the crowd of boarders that shared the space.

Spot Heads: S12
Homie love, party clips and fucked up rail riding from the VT crew makes its way to the internet after a hell of a premier season. Absolute heaters in the trick and music department, the crew ventured up to Canada, down to Boston and everywhere in between on the East Coast. Another gem from our favorite VT crew.
FABOLA
A passion piece from our Northern counterparts, Fabola brings back the baggy, rap fueled ways of the past. This Quebec City crew reminds us that winch spots are still sick and that these dogs ain’t done barking yet.
Featuring: Jeremy Cloutier, Dave Brown, Zack Boulet, Westley Williams, Lucas Lepine, Joey Leon, Maggie Leon, Austin Esposito, Polly
Main Filming by JP Paquette
GATE 2 HELL
Hell Gate Studios is back with their take on New York snowboarding. The spots, the clothing and the character of this crew shines through as they spent their days and nights showing us their vision of what it means to ride the city. See skateboarders snowboard, see snowboarders snowskate while the 2nd instalment passes by like 10 million fireflies.
Danger Beach: The Village
The most deeply rooted and die hard New Hampshire homies are back at it again with, “The Village”. Beaches, bricks, farms and a bumper sticker that Says, “I skinned up Mt. Washington” is all you need to know before watching.

Rough and Rowdy at RJ’s

RJ’s bar, located directly adjacent to The Flynn in Burlington, was not ready for the storm that was the Spot Heads premier. Drinks flew, vapes were lost to the abyss and bartenders were tipped this halloween weekend. Keep your eyes peeled and make sure you watch S12 when it hits the web. Peer through the gallery below for a glimpse into the madness.

Jersey, New York, the streets. Eli McClatchy, Luke Williams and Ben Williams locked it down for the winter to create this new up and coming crews first ever video project. Keep your eyes peeled for more from these rascals as I’m sure it won’t disappoint.

TRIPLE FEATURE PICTURE SHOW
:Dark Side Movie Premier
Goon Gear and Darkside gave us a place and time for some great boarding to be shared. “Deadbolt”, “S12” the Spotheads newest offering, and Goon Gear’s newest video, “ Diamond”, took the screen and kept the souls warm while the night got colder. See photo gallery below from our our time amongst homies.
Another Dome Video
The snow dome in many ways is just a big terrarium. The gang made its way down to get our first taste of indoor shred. It was fun, hectic and we wish we didn’t have to leave. Brandon Reis, Jesse Warrington, Morris Gifford, Tommy Barger, Matteo Soltane, Emmett Dowd, Tara Kipilla and more showed up for the cruise.
Planet Zebulon
